The Riddle Ale House has been a place where my family and friends have gathered for my entire life. It was and continues to be the kind of establishment that really does offer something for everyone. After 46 years Arnold Pompei, his wife Joann and their children Nick and Gina have learned how to make their restaurant appeal to a wide range of tastes. Their guests will tell you it starts with the food. Everyone knows that the Riddle Ale House is famous for serving the best hand carved roast beef in the area. Since 1962 people have traveled some distances to be rewarded with a hot roast beef sandwich, smothered in warm gravy at the end of their journey. They served more than roast beef back then but today the menu is even broader.

Whether you go for lunch, dinner or even to take advantage of their $11.95 Early Bird special, the selection of great salads, piled high sandwiches, fresh seafood, ribs, steaks and burgers will satisfy everyone in your group. I can assure you that it is not likely that anyone is going to leave hungry. To mark their 43rd anniversary the Pompei's remodeled the entire building creating a completely new look and feel compared to that of years past. The new earth tone colors, exposed stone walls and adobe style exterior present a sophisticated, modern feel that is carried through each of the new dining rooms. The new bar area has also benefited from the remodel with several new flat screen televisions, more seating and a billiard table. In addition to a spacious bar and warm, inviting dining areas the Riddle Ale House also has a large covered outdoor patio to be enjoyed during lunch and dinner service. Where would you rather be than sitting in the shade with a cold beverage as you patie
ntly work your way through an order of fresh Snow Crabs. Outdoor dining is the perfect way to spend an afternoon or evening during the warm months.

Now a new generation of patrons is making the Riddle Ale House their place to meet friends for all of the same reasons that my family and others have in years past. Good food, friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere that makes everyone feel at home. Whether you get together for happy hour or to watch a game on television there always seems to be plenty of reasons to gather and have fun. Throughout the week there are special events like Quizzo on Wednesday nights, Open Mic on Thursday nights and All You Can Eat Crabs on Sundays. The best way to find out about everything that is happening at the Riddle Ale House is to visit www.riddlealehouse.com or just stop by. If you like good food and friendly people I'm sure you will be back again and again to enjoy the hospitality of the Pompei family.         www.riddlealehouse.com
